In his journeys, he has come across some very interesting laws that are, well, a little fishy. Consider these the next time you and your buddies decide to fish while riding camel or lasso a fish...

- Delaware
It is against the law for a newlywed husband to go fishing during his honeymoon.
- Nebraska
It is illegal to go whale fishing.
- Oklahoma
Fish may not be contained in fishbowls while on a public bus. Whaling is illegal.
- Washington
In Seattle, it is illegal to carry a fishbowl or aquarium onto a bus because the sound of the water sloshing may disturb other passengers.
- Wyoming
Using a firearm to fish is strictly forbidden.
- Georgia
In Acworth all households must own fishing poles.
- Idaho
You may not fish on a camel’s back. Residents may not fish from a giraffe’s back.
- Illinois
It is forbidden to fish while sitting on a giraffe’s neck.
- Indiana
No one may catch a fish with his bare hands.
- Kansas
No one may catch a fish with his bare hands.
- Kentucky
It’s illegal to fish in the Ohio River in Kentucky without an Indiana fishing license. It is also illegal to fish anywhere in the state with a bow and arrow.
- Montana
It is illegal for married women to go fishing alone on Sundays, and illegal for unmarried women to fish alone at all.
- New Jersey
It is against the law for a man to knit during the fishing season.
- Ohio
It is illegal to fish for whales on Sunday.
- Oregon
Canned corn is not to be used as bait for fishing.
- Pennsylvania
You may not catch a fish with any body part except the mouth. You may not catch a fish with your hands. Dynamite is not to be used to catch fish.
- Tennessee
It is illegal to use a lasso to catch a fish. You can’t shoot any game other than whales from a moving automobile.
- Utah
It is against the law to fish from horseback. It is considered an offense to hunt whales.
