2007 Spring Report HOOTERS Magazine - Bass Report by Brad D. Wall March/April 2007 - Issue 65 HOOTERS Bass Fisherman Brad Wall has been busy-not only with a record-breaking year of tournaments with B.A.S.S. Federation, but with his own contributions of time to charitable causes... I would like to thank a beautiful young lady, Courtney Schiering, from Dayton, Ohio...Courtney represents the southern Ohio chapter of "Team in Training..."
Since April, Brad has competed in four senior B.A.S.S. Federation events, racking up four top-I0 finishes, including one first- place, two second-place and a 10th-place finish, including a side dish of “Big Bass” honors, as well. HOOTERS Bass Fishing will order that off the menu every time! “Thanks to all the gals, stores and managers at HOOTERS locations everywhere that came to support these events. Nothing fits together as well as HOOTERS hospitality, bass fishing and fun,” said Brad. Late summer and early autumn has been a record time for all the warm and fuzzy promotional and fund-raising event opportunities. “I would like to thank a beautiful young lady, Courtney Schiering, from Dayton, OH.” Courtney represents the Southern Ohio Chapter of “Team in Training.” This organization represents professionals and athletes who came together to run the 26.2- mile Columbus Marathon. Courtney and her team members are not only going to conquer the challenge of this grueling event, but also to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Each team member has individually raised over $1500 to bring with them to the starting line. Proceeds go towards research. Courtney contacted HOOTERS Bass Fishing to see if auctioning off a day of fishing with Brad Wall and was possible to help raise funds for the Society ‘s research. “How could we refuse?” HOOTERS Bass Fishing is proud to say that our donated day of guided fishing was the top individual monies raised for this cause. A very generous Jim Wanke of Dayton, OH sealed the final bid for a day of fishing. Courtney and her team members raised over $130,000. Another big “thank you” from HOOTERS Bass Fishing has got to go to Mr. John Burke of Cincinnati, Ohio who attended the annual Greg Fosters Celebrity Golf Tournament. This event raises proceeds that go to the Cincinnati Recreation Commission who is responsible for the organization of the Greg Foster’s baseball camps for inner city schools. Mr. Burke sealed the final bid for another auctioned day of guided bass fishing with Brad to benefit this worthwhile cause. “Only a heart-first company like HOOTERS could have the vision to combine fishing, fun and an old country boy to benefit society in so many ways. From the heart. . .it has truly been a life changing experience to be sponsored by HOOTERS. It’s been a great privilege and honor, thanks HOOTERS.” And, it turns out; another radio program has adopted Brad and HOOTERS Bass Fishing for regular interviews and show appearances. “Sports Zone with Roger Barbor and Bill Lierman” airs on WSRW 106.7 FM. Brad is now a regular guest on four different radio programs. Brad was also happy to announce that the absolute leader in designer bass fishing clothing apparel has come on board as a sponsored contributor. “I have to offer a huge thank you to Dan Norman, the owner of this California- based company, which I had the personal opportunity to meet and get to know in Florida early this year. Dan has provided HOOTERS Bass Fishing with some of the best quality and sweetest designed Bass Fishing sportswear I’ve personally ever seen.” Fish on! |
